Preface to the reader
The following account was discovered some time ago, written on pages whose material could not be identified with any plant matter now genetically sequenced. It was found in the cave city of Cappadocia, although its true geographical origins remain unknown. The contents appear to be of both a botanical catalogue and collection of stories, a few excerpts from which are provided in the following pages.
